Who We Are

The Wolsieffers

Jim and Caranita met at Camp Allendale (Trafalgar, Indiana) when they were 12 and 11 years old. They married in 1970, graduated in 1975 and moved as missionaries to Italy in 1976. Jim and Caranita are proud parents of two daughters, Kristina and Stephany. Both daugthers attended the Italian school system and married Italians. Kristina is married to Piero Longo and they have two children: Federica, age 10, and Riccardo, age 8. Kristina and her family live in Rome. Stephany is married to Gianni Bruno and they have two children: Anyssa, age 6 and Raphael, age 2. Stephany and Gianni are part of the IFC staff.

Jim

When Jim received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Johnson Bible College in 1975 he had already served a two year mission internship in Italy with his wife Caranita. Deeply aware of the spiritual needs of the Italian people, he returned to the U.S. to complete his degree in youth ministry and preaching with a desire on his heart: a lifelong commitment to serve God among the Italians. He has honored this commitment. For over 20 years Jim served a local church in Southern Italy as a preacher and youth minister. During that time he also established and ran a Christian radio station, encouraging the locals to find innovative and creative ways to spread the Gospel. In the last 10 years Jim has devoted himself to pastoral care and leadership training with the vision of empowering local church leadership.

Gifted in the areas of shepherding and administration, Jim is sympathetic, loyal, considerate, and conscientious. He provides vision, direction, objectivity, and consistency to the IFC team.

In his free time, Jim enjoys reading, wood-working, computers, lawn care and property maintenance.

Caranita

Caranita received a Bachelor of Science from Johnson Bible College in 1975 and continued her studies in Christian Counseling after raising their two daughters, Kristina and Stephany. Caranita earned a diploma in Family Counseling (Taranto, Italy, 1991), a Masters in Marital Counseling (Rome, Italy, 2001), and a Masters in Biblical Counseling (Bob Jones University, 2006). A pioneer in Christian Counseling in Italy, Caranita has a heart for restoring the brokenhearted.

Gifted in the areas of mercy and knowledge, Caranita is warm, cooperative, respectful, and deeply committed to her values. She provides stability, harmony, compatibility, and security to the IFC team.

In her free time Caranita enjoys reading, writing, taking long walks, and trimming olive trees.
